Sunday CARD GAME
Join us for a final game of cards at Wynter House.
Called at various times Contract Whist, Polish Trumps, Knock-Out Whist, Some Cards (as in ‘Where’s Liz? We’re getting ready to play Some Cards’) this culminating tournament to a generation of obsessive play will crown a champion of champions.
Expected to last at least three rounds with a break for lunch so for the successful card sharps amongst you that’ll be a three-hour ride, it’s open to anyone who has enjoyed the highly non- competitive games at Wynter House (or in any venue with the Woolley-Karlsens) over the last 28 years! (That’s you Deb!)
It’s important that you enter now so that we can plan the exact number of tables needed in the marquee.
David and Julius Flusfeder will act as tournament directors and even though they’ll also be playing, all processes will be totally transparent and above-board.
Please submit your name and credentials and we will supply the cards.
There will of course be a special prize for the very final Wynter House winner, and a consolation prize for the first person to be knocked out.
Gather at the tables 10.45 on Sunday 21st.
Cards will be in the air promptly at 11am.
